Dating Over 40: Why He Didn’t Call Back – What Rachel Learned from 1000 Men

Admittedly, I haven’t read the book yet – but I saw the TV show!  She was interviewed and  I watched the clip. In fairness, I guess her book will be added to my list.

As a dating coach for women over 40, I was quite surprised to hear what she had to say. What do you think the number one reason is for a man to not  call back according to Rachel’s research? I was shocked…

“Women just weren’t nice enough on the first date.”

With the countless reasons men might not call again, such as:
– Lost the number
– Was already dating someone
– You reminded him of his ex
– Doens’t know what he wants
– Waited too long and is now embarrassed

the one Rachel heard most frequently was the women weren’t nice enough?
PLEASE.  Where did she find these guys?

Now I do believe some men might proffer this excuse for a few reasons:
1.They complained how women treated the servers in restaurants
2. They didn’t want to compete with women at the office and in romance
3. The men felt interrogated by the women

This DOES HAPPEN unfortunately. Here are a few reasons why you might be coming across less than your wonderful self:

1. Treat Others Poorly…Treat Him Poorly?
Maybe you are a hard-driving professional woman who has made it big. You might think he didn’t call back because he was intimated by your success.  But not likely. A man wants to know you’ll treat him right. It’s not just women-folk who have this concern. So, if you treat the waiter poorly or lack  manners, he might assume its a matter of time before you treat him the same way.

Of course, I stand by my original thoughts on the subject of why he didn’t call again – who cares? Move on to find a man who will call you back, who will pursue you. A man who knows what he wants and likes – which is you baby, you!I

Reasons 2 and 3 will be posted tomorrow – so please stop on back!
