It was such a joy to see an episode of the Millionaire Matchmaker where Patti had not one, but two success stories! This week she hit the jackpot twice. Congrats to you Patti – job well done.
Millionaire #1 is Cindy, or Cinderella as Patti refers to her. She is a divorced model who has been splashed on the covers of countless romance novels. Cindy’s history of celebrity dates has left her lonely and now she is ready for her Prince Charming. And right there in Manhattan, Patti found a young divorced guy in his 30’s who was nervous as hell on his mini-date and got picked any way for the master date. Apparently Cindy thought his nervousness was quite endearing. Go figure. He is pretty cute though.
I must say this guy pulled out all the romantic stops on his date with Cindy. From a horse-drawn carriage ride in Manhattan to a string trio in front of the Alice in Wonderland statue in the park , to dinner at Cindy’s favorite restaurant – the entire date was magical. To top it off, he asked her out again during the date. Can’t do better than that – the couple is still dating.
Millionaire #2 Patti called Peter Pan and he is. PJ made lots of money in the wake-boarding business and lives half the year on an island in the Bahamas, a bear foot beach bum who is T-shirt adorned. Patti insisted on a makeover that certainly made a big difference. But, the most fun part was she invited a Florida friend to come up and take part in the mixer. Turns out PJ like Patti’s friend Amy!
I have to say that Amy must be very easy going because PJ’s date not only went against Patti’s orders (no beach date) but was low effort and cost to say the least. He first took her out on a boat to try wak-eboarding. Amy donned the wet suit but just couldn’t step into the wake-boarding boots. Can you blame her? If you haven’t already been water skiing, it is a bit daunting for a first date. But she happily watched PJ display his exceptional skill.
Then the couple had a picnic on the beach andit started to rain! Amy was worried about her hair (come on – this is national TV!) and he finally decided to heed her request and leave the beach for drier ground. The good news is they did like each other and PJ has been to Florida to visit Amy several times.
Hooray Patti! It’s great to see that some of your TV matches do work out. Personally, I’m not only relieved, but this reinforces what I already know: when people are willing to try new things, open their minds, get out of their comfort zone, they can and do find love! That warms my heart and is exactly why I am a dating coach for those dating over 40 or dating after divorce. For me, nothing beats a success story.
