Here are the first five of the Top 10 Ways to Meet More Men this Summer
10. Walk your dog.
9. Read a book at the beach or park.
8. Attend all the summer parties you’re invited to.
7. Many communities have an outdoor concert series.
6. Take advantage of the good weather and dine outdoors.
And now, for the remaining five methods, here goes:
5. Join a hiking, biking, kayaking group.
You could do these activities alone or with a friend, but when you do them with a singles group or other groups, you have the added opportunity to meet new people! Get outside to exercise and enjoy the warmer weather (if it ever shows up in CT). Participating in a group activity gives you something in common to chat about.
4. Have your own summer party.
Invite your friends and make sure each one brings along a friend. This helps widen the field so you can meet new people. Ask each woman in particular to bring a guy. He might not be right for her, but he sure could be Mr. Right for you or one of your girlfriends!
3. Hang out at Barnes and Noble Cafe on a rainy Sunday afternoon.
I have seen so many men flying solo at the book store. It’s a great way to get out of the house and do something interesting on your own. Spend time in the magazine section which makes you easy to approach. Then sit at a cafe table and read something there too. Working on your laptop or iPad doesn’t make you seem as accessible. Reading is much better.
2. Enjoy live music at an outdoor patio bar.
This is how I met my husband! Well indirectly. I met his sister – she was a friend of a friend. We started gabbing and hit it off. After 30-minutes, she asked me if I was single or seeing anyone. She thought her brother would like me and she was right!
When you are friendly and approachable, you could meet anyone. And since the average person knows 250 people, the possibilities multiply dramatically. Blind dates are an excellent way to meet men. And you might even meet single guys while at the bar.
1. Go to Starbucks during the day.
Lots of business men seem to be hanging out there in between meetings. It provides the perfect casual opportunity to meet new people. And during the good weather, many cafes have outdoor seating. The one near me has a wall and front patio where I’ve been known to park myself and enjoy a bit of sunshine with my iced coffee. Sip and smile as I always say.
Well, I’m quite sure there are many other ways to meet men than I mention in these two posts. Please feel free to put your options in the comment section. Much appreciated if you do!
