Dating Over 40: Money Can’t Buy Love or a US Senate Seat

In Connecticut, Linda McMahon, CEO of the World Wrestling Federation ran a heated race with Richard Blumenthal for the US Senate seat. An extremely wealthy woman, she invested $50 million of her own cash – wow that’s a lot of dough! But, when you want something, you have to invest right? You have to chase your dream, focus on your goal, take action and make it happen.

Is this true about finding love as well? The answer is mixed – Yes and no.

Yes, its important to focus on your goal. If you want to make something happen in your life, you need to focus on it and take the needed steps. You might invest in a new hairstyle, buy a few new outfits that are dating appropriate, spend money attending events and or get a personal trainer – for your body and your dating life.

Yet, recently, I’ve had a number of dating coaching clients who have been extremely active, trying to meet a man without much luck. One said she felt the problem might actually reside within her…There’s an insight.

When you choose me as your dating coach, I will work with you to clear limiting beliefs, create a plan to meet men, and  understand and follow the mechanics of dating. But if you are totally focused or should I say “over-focused”,  you might drift into sending energetic signals of desperation. Definitely not the best energy to help you appear attractive and desirable.

Confidence is the key here.
Confidence that you are doing the right things. Confidence that you deserve and are worthy of love. Confidence that the right man is out there. Confidence that you are a desirable woman.

Then, you have to find a way to relax into that space and feel it.

I learned this incredible affirmation when I took a weekend course in Hawaiian Shamanism countless years ago.

EVERYTHING IS WORKING OUT PERFECTLY.

If you are feeling frantic, falling into despair, using angry language, experiencing frustration, feeling bitterness build…that’s a signal you are pushing. Let this powerful affirmation come into your mind and focus on it for a while until you feel calmer and more certain that of course, everything IS working out perfectly. It usually does.

Investing in solutions to potential problems can be very effective at times. But $50 million  didn’t bring Linda McMahon her desired results. She certainly did her best to become CT’s next US Senator, but unfortunately, her dreams this time remain unfulfilled.

If you are a single woman dating over 40 or dating after divorce, please be sure to watch for signals of desperation and pull back for a short time to regroup and regain your positive outlook. It’s really the only solution to shift the energy and get back on track to make your dreams come true.
